Congratulations to Janna Lacy, the Troup High School Teacher of the Year!
Janna was born and raised in Troup and is a 2008 graduate of Troup High School. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from UT-Tyler in 2012. She is completing her 8th year in education, all of which have been at Troup High School.
She currently teaches Algebra 1, Geometry and Senior Math. She also coaches high school and middle school cross country along with being an assistant track coach. She believes her job is to help her students succeed by setting an example of hard work, giving them the tools they need to be successful, and providing motivation and encouragement.
She is married to her husband, Hunter, and enjoys spending time with family. She is blessed to work at Troup ISD and is honored to represent Troup High School as teacher of the year.
