Before Spring Break, the THS One-Act Play cast and crew performed Angels of Bataan in the District 16AAA One-Act Play competition.
Awards won include:
Michael Balderas, Sound Tech, won an Honor Crew Award.
Brooklen Barton received Honorable Mention All-Star Cast for her role as Nurse Helen Bailey.
Lexy Conway won an All-Star Cast (gold medal) for the role of Nurse Jean Perkins.
Angels of Bataan, a dramatic play by Tracy Wells, details the true story of U.S. Army nurses stationed in the Philippines during WWII who were captured as prisoners of war. The play focuses on their resilience, camaraderie, and nursing efforts as they navigated the fall of Manila and captivity at the Santo Tomas Internment Camp.
The cast and crew will be performing the play at Troup High School on April 6th at 6:30 pm. Please make plans to attend and watch these talented students!
