Assistant Principal

My name is Somer (pronounced “Summer”) Bockover and I am thrilled and honored to be your new Assistant Principal at Troup High School! I have been in education for 13 years as a chemistry teacher, most of which were at Whitehouse High School. I earned my Master’s Degree in 2018 from UT Tyler. I have been married to my middle school sweetheart for the past 14 years and we have 2 boys together, Skyler, 11, and Graham, 7. We love East Texas and are heavily involved in Scouts. We like to camp, hike, and spend time outside. I believe that positive relationships at home, at school, and within the community, help ensure student success and I look forward to helping ALL kids rise to their greatest potential.
